Happy Holidays Everyone!
I'm excited to share that OUCH! is currently with the printer and in about a month will be on its way to me. I am having a box of books air flighted to me and if you would like me to ship you one of those copies - just shoot me a message - this will be sometime in January. Otherwise, the overall shipment (OUCH! + My Body Beeps!) will arrive approx 8 weeks after the printing is complete.
While I had originally hoped to be done with all three: OUCH! OOPS! + OH NO! I don't want it to go too long without starting fulfillment so I am planning on shipping out the OUCH! books as soon as they arrive and any extra goodies and later doing another round of shipping to fulfill OOPS! + OH NO! Estimated first round of fulfillment in this March - for OUCH!
OOPS! - the illustrations are complete and now in the book design and proof editing stage
OH NO! - currently still being illustrated. Hoping for this stage to wrap up soon and move to design and proof editing.
My estimated fulfillment for OOPS! + OH NO! is July.
I am going to have a local pick up party as soon as OUCH! + My Body Beeps! arrive. At that party, you will also be able to pick up the Rose owl plush and any linen dolls. Rose owl has passed its safety testing and is currently being tagged and set up for shipment so I anticipate receiving the plush dolls around the same time.
Only 75/142 backers have completed their surveys - please fill out your survey so I can plan for fulfillment. Thank you all for your patience and ongoing support!

Please double check your add ons, etc. There was a few hiccups with how things transferred from Kickstarter to the BackerKit pledge management including how "donations" were allocated with them oddly being seen as "credit" for some backers so please log in and make sure everything is as you intended. Any issues - just send me a message - I'm happy to help!
I did the OUCH! OOPS! OH NO! campaign on Kickstarter last fall and while Evgeniya is hard at work at creating the illustrations, a set of three books is ALOT of work and with her hand drawn illustrations, takes ALOT of time. I'm not sure how long it will take her to complete OOPS! + OH NO! and don't want too much time to go by without fulfillment for all my wonderful supporters - so I am going to research having just the OUCH! book printed now as it is ready to go and then follow up later with OH NO! + OOPS! once they are complete.
I am currently taking a class to make Acorn Cottage Press the best it can be and as apart of that created a survey to ask Teachers, Classroom Specialists, Administrators, + Librarians. If you fit into those categories or know people that do and can take 5 minutes to fill out my survey, It would be a great help!

Lots of updates: more illustrations for OOPS have arrived and Evgeniya decided to truly match the mood of each characters story in the set of OUCH! OOPS! OH NO! set by adding rain and darkening the coloring in the OOPS! book.
I expect the last two illustrations for OOPS! within the week and then all the OOPS! files will be given to Arlene Soto the Book Designer. I met with Arlene earlier this week and we are going to make a few changes to the cover for OUCH! setting us up for the design of the set as a whole
Arlene is going to remove the acorn on the bottom right, and add a little sign in that area to put the author/illustrator names.
It's the last 24 HOURS for My Body Beeps! Growing Up With Diabetes and I am so excited for this book to come to life. With a different illustrator and a different process - this book is almost completely done! I'm blown away by the timeline of this project. The whole book went from a semi edited manuscript to a complete book with illustrations in 3 months! SO WILD!!!
This is the last chance to preorder My Body Beeps! and get a Katie or Josh or Special Custom Linen dolls before the campaign ends tomorrow! We currently have 92 backers and I think we can get to 100 backers before tomorrow. Can you help us get to 100 backers? Share out and support if you can! Sharing out the last two spreads in the book, one page will go over the different types of diabetes to help educate others and the other provides discussion questions to help support families in discussing the book with their children to assist them in processing their feelings while gaining independence to help take care of their diabetes. Arlene has completed the book design for OUCH! and we are meeting on Monday to go over the final files. Wanted to share out a few of my favorite spreads
Evgeniya will be sending me the last few illustrations for OOPS! in the next week and then she will work on the OOPS! cover while Arlene works on the design for OOPS! and then the same process will happen for OH NO!
Thank you all for your patience - this set of books have been a two year project and while I had hoped to be delivering for books about now, good things take time and all of Evgeniya's gorgeous artwork is done by hand.
